Jaguar cowling on N119ST

N119ST was the first plane to fly with the Jaguar cowling. Looooong before I even told the FAA I had a new cowliing, I did flight testing on this plane with 5 different cowlings.  Here it is in 2003 and again in 2010.   Click here to return to the Restoration Page

Completed install 2003:
(shown)
• The astitute eye will notice the landing light is different and the tail pipe comes out of the bottom.  This cowling began
. .life as a 2 layer splash.  We kept adding to it until we got it to the point I wanted to fly it.  This was the step just before
. .the cam-locks were installed.  Once the cam-locks were in, I started the engine.
First run 2003: This was an excitiing day.  Finally.  It took 3 years from concept to prototype fabrication to tooling to inlets to baffles
. .and finally bringing it outside to start.  I flew it on this day.  It met or exceded all of my expectations.
Completed baffles 2010: • Here is a shot of the baffles.  The installation is ready for the cowling.
Final deliver 2010: • Here is Brian with a cowling for which he's been waiting for seven years.
