N4557V: From Rags to Riches

This is what happens when a Tiger gets a loving owner.

I wish I had taken some before shots of the "Flying Avocado." You wouldn't believe the difference. The previous owner wouldn't spend a nickel on it. 'Hero' Dave bought this plane for $35,000. To say it was rough is putting it mild. The first thing to go were the foggy windows. Dave logged IFR time because they were so bad. Then, it got new seats. The previous owner had duck-taped the seats and put wool seat covers on them. There was foam and fur everywhere. YUCK! Next, I did a complete firewall forward cleanup and installed the 1600 hr engine from N28747 in place of the original 2400 hr engine. Next was an EDM 830. This work in progress is very fast. It regualrly trues at 146-148 knots! It's a very nice plane.
