N81078: Firewall forward restoration and new cylinders

Almost lost and forgotten for over 20 years.

This sweet ride had a tad over 2000 TTAF and 97 hrs SMOH (they reused the cylinders) on it when it was abandoned in a hangar in Arizona and forgotten for 20 years. The next-of-kin decided it was time to stop paying hangar rent and insurance. N81078 was purchased as a kit from Fletchair for $25,000.  Some $45,000 later, it sports a complete FWF restoration, NEW Lycoming cylinders (ported and flow-matched by LyCon), New fiberglass dorsal fin, new mags (replacing 4200 series mags) and harness, new hoses, Zeftronix VR, overhauled carb, new fuel pump, Sensenich prop, nose strut stripped and painted with polyurethane, new control bearings, new brakes, new battery, EDM 730 plus more. The owner then added a new Garmin audio panel and Garmin 430.  It's a very nice plane.
