Jaguar cowling on N119ST

The cowling for this plane was originally fitted to N119ST.  Ned wanted the cowling for a race in April.  Brian agreed.  For whatever reason, it took forever to get the airbox installed and cowling fitted.   Click here to return to the Restoration Page

Ned and the Jaguar:
(shown)
• From the start this project had problems.  First, the AG5B needed to be converted to an AA5B carb airbox.
. .Then, the DER didn't want to approve the cowling because of the 3-bladed prop.  Ned isn't smiling.
The Jaguar and Ned: • I finally got the cowling approved through the FSDO (oh, my god, the the FAA really come through in a pinch?).
. .My PI and I discussed the installation with 2 different propeller experts.  "no worries, Mate."  Ned still isn't smiling.
The airbox: • The AA5B airbox and the AG5B hardware are made for each other.
